Trash Talk
About the Author
Codie Eisenberg grew up in Woodstock, NY, where her love of film and the arts began. A member of the class of 2009, she is a Communications major with a concentration in Photography. She enjoys cooking, organic food, outdoor activities and painting. A woman of the world, Codie loves to travel and has explored much of Europe and the Americas. Despite her inability to function before 9am, Codie has been one of the most influential members of the Planet Forward team, and quite the coffee coniseur. She is one of the most outgoing members of the group, making new friends every step of the way. Some say it is her greatest flaw! As a skilled videographer, she never forgets to white balance. When she is not cracking a joke, or pushing the limits, you can find her snuggling with her bunny, Zeus. Codie is willing to try anything once, so don’t forget to call her for your next adventure!
About This Video
A delightful exploration of the wonderment that is sustainability. "Trash Talk" is a witty and fun way to look at our current energy crisis, and playfully suggests ways we can try alternative energy sources. I truly feel what we do here is important - with a little humor, fun, and creativity I think we can turn this situation around; and it is easier than we think. This matters to me and should matter to the rest of the world because after all we are lucky enough to get from this earth, why should we be the reason for its demise?
Join the Discussion
Welcome to Planet Forward – real dialogue on energy issues: experts, policymakers, citizens and you! This is your chance to have your voice heard on one of the biggest challenges of our times: whether we can move away from using fossil fuels and if we should, how should we do it?
Send us a video, written essay, podcast, song, etc. (see our guidelines for details). They’ll spark debate online, where site users will rate their favorites.
For inspiration, we recommend you check out our PBS TV special, and our web sequel, with Van Jones, President Obama's green jobs advisor, joining Planet Forward's Frank Sesno in a discussion of the formula for our energy future.
