Solar Searching
About the Author
I am an independent tutor and musician, and my father is an architect. This film does not promote any particular company or interest (even ours), but it advocates broadly for use of some alternative energies and efficient technologies. We wrote and produced this on our own time on an Apple laptop, and we were not compensated. We did communicate with one technology company to request technical drawings for use in our movie. We hope you enjoy it and find it thought-provoking!

1. AAAmmaAAZING
Will Ed build me a house?! Indiana has lots of those crazy windmills but funny thing is, they supply energy to the east coast...Hmph?! Lets keep the energy here! My friends are BRILLIANT!!!
2. Keep it Simple
Martin Luther King Jr.'s movement took off with bus fares. Gandhi's took off with salt. Why doesn't Obama's movement take off with light bulbs or heat pumps or solar panels or windmills? The simpler we all make this, the sooner the revolution will take hold. - Freeman
3. Call your builder NOW!
We loved it. Great narration, great editing, great story line. Why doesn't everyone have a house like the one that Ed built.
4. bill nye the science guy
umm...not even sure I have the right words. you need to send this into schools..they would TOTALLY BUY it. bravo bravo...a complicated issue spoken about in a manner easy enough for the average Joe to understand. I will just let you know..I was clapping and cheering out loud at the end!!!! (and I was totally by myself)
5. great balance of fun and
great balance of fun and serious in highlighting an issue that ALL of us can participate in. The consequences effect us all.
6. Dude!
This video rocks. The narrator rocks. The writer/producer rocks. I'm sure Ed rocks too--sure seems like it from this video.
Short, sweet, packed with important info I didn't previously possess. Awesomeness.

Straight forward and humorous - a great way to deliver enviroment altering information!
8. Interesting!
Makes me wonder if we could "afford" to rip our solarium off and replace it with these panels. Sure would help us and the planet too! :)

Well done. Simple, clear, concise, very entertaining and stimulating!
10. Hot video!
Come fix up my house! Great video.
11. On the right track
Nice little video.
Of course I asked myself about the insulation used in this house. Is it just what's legally required or is i it as much as possible (getting close to a zero-energy house).
Does the house have tripple windows with gas in between.
Anyway: I am glad that the preparations for the wedding don't consume all your time.
Keep being creative.

12. Where Can I Get that Soundtrack?
What a great video! It had a great message that was easy to understand. Well done Pete (and Co.).
13. A video that would truly motivate
what's great about this video is its reach. Not only is it interesting and informative for someone who is interested in alternative energy and/or ways they can help reduce their own individual impact on the environment, but it speaks to people who may not care about the environment, but would care about the monetary incentive to making the kind of changes that would help the environment. This is the kind of message that would work.
