The rebuilding of the lower 9th ward since Hurricane Katrina has see the community come together to set a goal of restoring/rebuilding the lower 9th ward in a sustainable way and making the neighborhood a better place to live than is was before the Corps of Engineer's Levee failed and flooded the neighborhood.
It is an issue of justice for the residents of the Lower 9th Ward since the U.S. government failed them by allowing the Corps of Engineers to design and build levee that flooded the neighborhood.
