Choose Earth
About the Author
Student, Middlebury College.
The Choice is Simple.
I am a senior Feb film and media culture major here at Middlebury College in Vermont. Which basically translates into me happily spending most, if not all of my time making, discussing, or watching movies.
About This Video
Choose Earth. Choose Biomass. Find out why my college chose biomass gasification technology as their source of green energy. My video explores the statistical consequences of a simple choice: how to heat a campus. The brand new biomass gasification plant reduces our dependency on oil for heating and cooling by 50%. The woodchips used as fuel travel only 75 miles to reach the plant, contrasting with oil's trip of 3,554 statue miles at the least. Most convincingly, biomass technology is completely carbon neutral. The earth is not ours to exploit, but ours to protect. The choice to use alternative energy is a simple one. 4. Very cool way to present a serious topic
Loved it. Fun watching the kids drop their cards, get them upside down, and the voice-overs. The message is clear and the students, snow, hand-held make it fun to watch and very lively. These kids are gonna change the world.
