1. electric cars
Electric cars reduce green house gas emissions at the vehicle level, but what about the power generation facility? How much more demand will be placed on our antique grid if electric cars became more common? How much more fossil fuel would be burned to create the electricity needed to power an electric car? These are the cost based, down-stream questions that we all have to ask. May, how about urging the president to invest more in mass transit and the production of electric buses? Get out of your car, May! See more on costs at my blog

2. Dozens of EV Models by 2013
At least thirty companies plan to sell new, highway-capable, battery-driven electric vehicles (EVs) by 2013. At least three models will sell for $20,000 or less. See the Electric Auto Association online and EVWorld.com for more information on cars that will reduce air pollution by 25%, free us from dictators' oil and let us drive trouble-free for a nickel per mile.
