About This Video
In this proposal unveiled at the Policy Greenhouse at The George Washington University, USGBC Emerging Green Builders Joshua Lichtman and Dana Mathews pitched an idea for a hotel and homeless services center in Washington, D.C.
The theme hotel uses sustainability to help homeless individuals gain skills as part of an overall socially sustainable agenda. This hotel design incorporates green building elements. And it provides career tracks for homeless participants: hospitality, food service, fitness, and building management, specifically monitoring its green systems.
